本日もまた行って来てしまいました2.5次元シアター！
今回は東京喰種です。
You know that recently so-called 2.5 dimension theatrical play is super popular in Japan.
Today, I’d love to give a quick report about Tokyo Ghoul stage show performed in Tokyo in July 2015!
Before I begin the report, I would love to tell one thing to all 2.5 theatrical play fans abroad.
In AiiA 2.5 theater where these anime-based shows are played, they have a glasses-like gadget ”Zimaku Air”which shows you subtitles simultaneously, and they also have online English ticketing site!

The bad news is, all tickets for Tokyo Ghoul is already sold out…(actually they sold out 5 min after on sale) but there are plenty of these kinds of shows based on manga/ anime, so if you are interested, please keep an eye on a recent trend of 2.5 theatrical play!

さて、いよいよレポートです！
まず、私が今回残念だと思っていることを言わせて下さい。
これ、記事の始めに上げたメインビジュアルポスター、
この舞台の魅力を伝えきれてないよ！！！
Above is a main visual of the theatrical play “Tokyo Ghoul.”
I wanna say one thing… this poster fails to convey how amazing and colorful the actual play is!!!
なんか遠目に見たら、市民ホールあたりでやっている演劇のポスターにも見えてしまって……。
いや、グールの世界観的にもこういうモノトーンでシンプルに、でも張りつめた雰囲気でまとめるのがいいというのは分かっているのですが、
うん、多分金木くん（主人公）の髪が黒いのがいけないんだ…（この段階では、ね）
私もはじめビラ貰った時は、すみません、貧乏学生なもので、見に行くかちょっと迷いました。
でも一瞬の迷いのうち結局チケットを申し込んだ理由は、単純に、カグネ（赫子）をどのように再現するのかに大変興味があったからなのです！
※赫子とは、東京喰種に出て来る、体内から放出される武器。
OPでかなり抽象化されて表現されてるのだと↓こんなかんじ。
At first, actually I was wondering if I would watch this play or not, since I am a poor college student (w) and needed to pick up some shows to see.
However, after an instant’s hesitation, I made up my mind.
I was curious enough to see how they recreate Kagune!!!
そして観劇当日、息を飲みました。
モノトーンだなんてとんでもない！
惜しみなく使われる鮮やかな映像や照明。
アニメのOPを思い返して下さい。まさにこれが再現されていました。美しい、美しすぎるよ！！
一週間強という短い期間にはもったいないとしか言えない素晴らしい舞台セット。
その世界観の完成度たるや、万華鏡の中に迷い込んだかと思ってしまう程。Though the poster itself is really simple, the play uses many colors, video effects, sounds, and it was fantastic from art and direction perspective.
カグネも、舞台セットをうまく利用して、部分部分隠しながら、映像と大道具で見せるところは見せて、違和感無く再現出来ていたと思います。
Kagune was well reproduced with digital images and props.
以下、ポイント。
- 永近のかわいさが半端ない。金木とのコントみたいなやりとりが面白い。金木の動きがなんかやたら激しい。
Nagachika was super cute… the script writer added some comical scenes of Nagachika, and it was just like him…;; Kaneki was super active (his movement was kinda funny…) in the play.
- キャラクターの再現度についてはこの公式画像さえ見て頂ければ私からは言う事はありません。このままの彼等がステージの上にいました。最近私はますます二次元と三次元の境界が分からなくなりつつあります。ウタさん……！！
The actors look like the actual characters themselves. Look at Uta! OMG!
- これはアニメや漫画の舞台全般に対して言えることですが、原作を読んでいないと理解が難しいかもしれません。
2.5次元ものは、ゼロの状態からストーリーを楽しむというより、漫画の世界をどのように3次元世界に再現してゆくか、という、その芸術＋技術＋役者さんの力を楽しむことにあると私は思っています。
「あ、ここのシーンはこうやって創り出すんだ！？」というように。
One tip for new audiences of 2.5 theatrical play.
I recommend you to read/ watch original anime before you see theatrical play. I think the interesting point of these plays is to see how they recreate the world/ characters/ stories in manga, which often draws sci-fi or super-natural abilities.
- 今回の舞台は、西尾先輩との戦い後あんていくに入るところまで。原作の一巻までですね。たった一巻！NARUTOの舞台が１〜２７巻全て網羅していたことと比べると…！その分、金木の葛藤を描くシーンが多かったように思います。語りかけて来るリゼとのやりとりや、街を徘徊する姿など。
The story only contains original manga volume1. About 2 hours play.
今回はチケットが発売当日、というか発売開始の五分後くらいには完売していたのですが、まだ全国の映画館で千秋楽を見る事が出来るライブビューイングがあるそうなので、
興味ある方は是非！
一巻をご一読の上見てみて下さい！
